Job summary

DCS Corp in Warren, MI is seeking a Quality Engineer to provide critical support for our DoD acquisition customer. The successful candidate will be highly organized, detail-oriented, and capable of working independently in a dynamic environment.

Key responsibilities include planning and managing quality across programs, overseeing contractor activities, and ensuring ISO 9001 compliance. Up to 20% travel may be required and candidate must be a US citizen capable of obtaining a DoD Secret

Qualifications

• BS in Engineering or equivalent and 8 years of relevant experience.
• U.S. Citizenship required.
• Must be able to obtain and maintain a DoD Secret clearance.
• Extensive experience with ISO 9001:2015 Quality System Requirements and Auditing.
• Co-located at customer facility in Warren, MI with up to 20% travel may be required.

Responsibilities

• Plan, manage Quality on assigned DoD programs to meet contract requirements.
• Oversee contractor activities to ensure fabrication/modification meets quality standards.
• Develop quality input for program management documents and ensure appropriate contract clauses.
• Coordinate with product managers, users, independent test agencies, and Government agencies to translate requirements into specs.
• Review system performance, assess risk, and advise on acceptability of products.
• Assure compliance with scope, schedules, specifications, and contract requirements; recommend changes.
• Develop or evaluate sampling plans based on MIL-STD-1916, ANSI Z1.4, and other standards.
• Participate in post-award conferences, program reviews, and design reviews as the Quality Engineer.
• Evaluate design efforts to identify, evaluate, and address performance issues.
• Review and ensure adequacy of test plans and reports for Government and contractor tests.
