Job summary

National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) is seeking a full-time Project Engineer in Mentor, OH. You will plan, lead, and execute DoD-related projects, develop SOWs and cost proposals, and manage budgets and timelines while coordinating with customers, management, and engineers.

The ideal candidate will have 3–5 years of project leadership experience in a manufacturing or defense context, strong communication skills, and proficiency with Microsoft Office and MS Project.

Qualifications

• Requires a B.S. in engineering or an associate with 15 years of relevant experience.
• 3–5 years leading and managing projects.
• Experience in manufacturing environments and DoD project contexts.
• Strong written and oral communication skills; able to tailor to audience.
• Proficient use of Microsoft Office; MS Project experience preferred.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute multiple technical projects within budget and schedule.
• Develop statements of work, cost proposals and project timelines.
• Manage project budgets up to $1.0 M and track progress for audits.
• Delegate tasks and ensure timely execution of assignments.
• Travel up to 30% as required; communicate with customers and management.
