Job summary

The National Center for Defense Manufacturing and Machining (NCDMM) seeks a Project Engineer in Huntsville, AL. This full-time role plans, leads, and executes multiple DoD projects within scope and budget, developing SOWs, cost proposals, and timelines.

You will collaborate across customers, management, engineers and technicians, manage budgets up to $1.0M, and maintain high-quality reporting with proactive, self-starting teamwork in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• Has a B.S. degree in engineering or a related engineering technical area with 3-5 years relevant experience.
• In lieu of a B.S. degree, an associate degree in engineering or a related engineering technical area with 15 years relevant experience.
• Must demonstrate consistent career achievement including supervising project budgets and generating quality reports.
• Has experience leading and managing projects in a manufacturing and DoD environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute multiple technical projects, including time management and budget control.
• Manage project budgets up to $1.0M and develop costs pre/post award.
• Develop statements of work, cost proposals, and project timelines for new opportunities.
• Communicate with customers, management, other engineers, and technicians.
