Job summary

National Center for Defense Manufacturing is seeking a full-time Project Engineer to plan, lead, and execute multiple DoD projects within scope and budget. You will develop statements of work, cost proposals, and timelines while communicating effectively with customers, management, engineers, and technicians.

The ideal candidate is detail oriented, adaptable to fast-paced environment, and capable of collaborating with a cross-functional team to deliver successful project outcomes.

Qualifications

• B.S. in engineering or related field with 3–5 years relevant experience.
• In lieu of a B.S. degree, an associate degree with 15 years relevant experience.
• Experience supervising project budgets and generating quality reports.
• Experience leading projects in a manufacturing and DoD environment.

Responsibilities

• Coordinate and execute multiple technical projects with defined scope and budget.
• Manage time, budget up to $1.0M, and project costs pre/post award.
• Delegate tasks and ensure on-time, within-budget delivery.
• Develop statements of work, cost proposals, and timelines.
• Build customer relationships and expand networks; travel <30%.
