Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Implementation Engineer to design and implement complex DoD network solutions. You will conduct site surveys, develop structured designs, and produce technical documents for on-prem and cloud environments.

You will collaborate with multiple technical and non-technical teams, travel up to 40%, and ensure security and network protocols are properly implemented. A Secret clearance is required to proceed.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of experience implementing and providing engineering support for DoD enterprise networks.
• 3+ years of experience with commercial hardware, networks, and cloud environments.
• 2+ years of experience in network discovery, including analyzing and documenting system requirements.
• Experience with security, routing, and switching protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, L3VPNs).
• Experience with developing and executing test and implementation plans based on requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel; detail-oriented; multitask and prioritize.

Responsibilities

• Complete site surveys and create structured designs for the customer’s network.
• Design engineered drawings, specifications, reports and other technical documents.
• Coordinate with IT, facilities teams, clients, architects and vendors to develop system designs and implementation plans.
• Implement final network solutions to support on-prem and cloud environments.
• Manage production of network devices and network architecture design; develop supporting docs for implementation.
