Job summary

Booz Allen Hamilton is seeking an Implementation Engineer to design and document network solutions for DoD enterprise environments, supporting voice, data, security, and AV systems. You will collaborate with IT, facilities, clients, and vendors to translate requirements into structured cabling and network designs for on-prem and cloud deployments.

The role requires 5+ years in DoD network implementation, 3+ years with commercial hardware and cloud services, and a Secret clearance.

Qualifications

• 5+ years of implementation and engineering support for DoD enterprise networks.
• 3+ years of experience with commercial hardware, networks, and cloud environments.
• 2+ years of experience in conducting network discovery, including analyzing and documenting system requirements.
• Experience with security, routing, and switching protocols (BGP, IS-IS, OSPF, MPLS, LDP, RSVP, VPLS, STP, L3VPNs).
• Experience with developing and executing test and implementation plans based on requirements.
• Ability to communicate effectively with both technical and non-technical personnel, be detail-oriented, and multitask and prioritize.
• Ability to travel to CONUS and OCONUS locations up to 40% of the time.
• Secret clearance.
• HS diploma or GED.
• DoD 8570.01 IAT Level II Certification.

Responsibilities

• Complete site surveys and create structured network designs.
• Develop specifications, reports, and other technical documents.
• Coordinate with clients, architects, engineers, subcontractors, vendors, and material suppliers to develop designs.
• Implement final network solutions for on-prem and cloud environments and manage documentation.
