Job summary

The Fountain Group in Colorado Springs, CO, is seeking a Network Engineer to support a DoD missile defense program. The role focuses on implementing, maintaining, and troubleshooting enterprise network infrastructure to ensure secure, reliable connectivity.

Responsibilities include configuring Cisco and Juniper devices and firewalls, monitoring LAN/WAN performance, and applying core networking technologies such as TCP/IP, OSPF, and BGP. A Secret clearance and relevant certifications are required.

Qualifications

Bachelor’s degree in a technical field and 5+ years of engineering/networking experience.
Active Secret Security Clearance is required.
CCNA or JNCIA certification is required.
IAT Level II 8570-compliant certification is required.
Experience with Cisco/Juniper equipment and firewall technologies.

Responsibilities

Support implementation, maintenance, and troubleshooting of enterprise network infrastructure.
Configure and maintain Cisco and Juniper routers/switches and firewalls.
Monitor LAN/WAN connectivity and troubleshoot latency, packet loss, and network issues.
Work with TCP/IP, VLANs, OSPF, BGP, GRE, and UDP multicast.
Collaborate on designs involving SONET, MSPP, and optical transport equipment.
