Job summary

Zachary Piper Solutions is seeking a Network Controller / Network Engineer to support DoDIN mission-critical networks globally. This on-site role at Scott AFB, IL, with opportunities at Pearl Harbor, HI, requires monitoring, troubleshooting, and activation of DoD network infrastructure while following DISA standards.

Responsibilities include monitoring, configuring, testing, and activating network devices; managing incidents and changes; coordinating with DISA stakeholders; and maintaining 24/7

Qualifications

• 2+ years of network engineering/operational experience.
• Experience with Cisco and/or Juniper routers/switches and LAN/WAN.
• Knowledge of BGP, OSPF, ISIS, VLANs, VRFs, VPNs, TCP/IP, DHCP, DNS.
• High school diploma; Bachelor's degree preferred.
• Active Secret clearance; TS/SCI preferred.
• DoD 8570 IAT Level II (Security+ CE or equivalent) required.
• Ability to work independently and in a team.

Responsibilities

• Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve network issues on a live global DoD network.
• Configure, implement, test, activate, and monitor network devices/services.
• Manage incident tickets, service orders, and change requests with proper documentation.
• Coordinate with customers, DISA stakeholders, vendors, and teams on activations and issues.
• Support fault management, alarm surveillance, circuit troubleshooting, and 24/7 operations.
