Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Mission Systems Network Engineer to support DoD/IC customers. The role involves designing, deploying, and sustaining complex network systems in a classified environment. You will work with multiple teams in an Agile setting to ensure mission success.

You will apply expertise in VPNs, VLANs, firewalls, and encryption, while advancing automation and scalable architectures. A TS clearance and DoD experience are required for success.

Qualifications

• Active TS clearance with SCI eligibility.
• DoD 8140 intermediate requirements for Network Operations Specialist.
• Experience designing, building, and maintaining networks in a classified environment.
• Experience configuring VLANs, VPNs, and firewalls/switches/routers; networking tools.
• Experience securing networks and maintaining device software per DoD policies.
• Strong IP addressing and subnetting knowledge.
• 3+ years operating DoD encryption/COMSEC equipment.
• Background in supporting software/network operations with networking fundamentals.

Responsibilities

• Participate in Agile meetings and plan work for sprints.
• Develop and document WANs/LANs for cloud networking needs.
• Provide guidance on network anomalies to Tier teams.
• Configure firewalls, switches, and routers; track build-out status.
• Automate cloud network infrastructure with scripting.
• Create scalable network architectures for new tenant systems.
• Coordinate incident documentation and tracking in ticketing tools.
• Use monitoring tools to gather insights and act on results.
• Create network designs and operational docs for cloud services.
• Evaluate cloud networking solutions and assist in procurement.
