Job summary

People, Technology & Processes, LLC seeks a Network Engineer to oversee both unclassified and classified networks in the Hampton Roads, VA area. The role includes managing routers/switches, coordinating with DISA groups, and validating configurations against standards.

The ideal candidate has 3–5 years of DoD network experience, Cisco gear familiarity, and strong documentation skills. Top Secret clearance is required; contingent upon award and tasking opportunities may arise.

Qualifications

• 3–5 years of experience supporting enterprise or DoD networks.
• Familiarity with Cisco Catalyst and Nexus switches.
• Knowledge of network monitoring tools, IP subnetting, VLAN design, and TCP/IP troubleshooting.
• Experience with IT modernization efforts and technical documentation.
• Ability to support daily operations while contributing to configuration management.
• CompTIA Network+, Security+, or Cisco CCNA preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent experience.

Responsibilities

• Oversee daily operations of both unclassified and classified enclaves, including core devices.
• Respond to Tier III network incidents and coordinate with stakeholders.
• Support Engineering Change Proposals with hardware reconfiguration and firmware updates.
• Assist with network upgrades, device refreshes, and redesigns per DISA strategies.
• Apply and validate configuration baselines and document deviations.
• Update Visio diagrams with approved changes.
• Provide input on BRDs, risk assessments, and network impact analyses.
