SA-TECH’s Explosives Handler role at the U.S. Army Dugway Proving Ground involves supporting major DoD test operations with demolition and ordnance tasks. You will review technical data, determine explosive charges, and work with propellants, scales, and ammunition drawings to ensure safe execution.

The position requires U.S. citizenship, a DoD Secret clearance, 3+ years of explosives experience, and formal EOD/WDTC training, with a strong emphasis on safety and teamwork.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent.
• Graduate of U.S. Military Explosive Ordnance (EOD) school preferred.
• Formal training on explosives types and their use in demolition.
• Three years of experience with explosives.
• WDTC Certification required.
• Ability to calculate quantities of explosives for missions.
• Experience with powder and propellants.
• Ability to read and interpret ammunition drawings.
• U.S. Citizenship and DoD Secret clearance required.
• Driver's license and insurability for company vehicles.

Responsabilités

• Use explosives for demolition and for special uses.
• Research and review technical data for weapons systems under test.
• Calculate the type and quantities of explosives required to accomplish a specific mission.
• Work with powder and propellants.
• Operate scales, measuring devices and ring gauges.
• Use center-of-gravity, moment-of-inertia and other equipment commonly used with explosives.
• Handle, disassemble, and assemble ammunition and components.
• Read and interpret ammunition drawings.
• Properly store, transport, and account for explosives.
