Job summary

SA-TECH is seeking an Explosives Handler to support DoD test facilities at Dugway Proving Ground, Utah. This full-time, on-site role requires handling explosives, reviewing technical data, and calculating charges for missions.

Ideal candidates possess a high school diploma (or equivalent) and experience with explosives, safety procedures, and relevant certifications. U.S. citizenship and security clearance are prerequisites, with background checks and drug screenings conducted.

Qualifications

• High School diploma or equivalent required or equivalent experience.
• Ideal candidates will have graduated from the U.S. Military Explosive Ordnance (EOD) school and possess related knowledge for safe testing/support.
• Completion of formal training on explosives types and their use in demolition and special uses.

Responsibilities

• Use explosives for demolition and for special uses.
• Research and review technical data for weapons systems under test.
• Calculate the type and quantities of explosives required for a mission.
• Work with powder and propellants.
• Operate scales, measuring devices and ring gauges.
• Handle, disassemble, and assemble ammunition and components.
• Read and interpret ammunition drawings.
• Properly store, transport, and account for explosives.
