Job summary

Peraton is seeking a Digital Forensics Examiner in our Linthicum, MD office in support of our DoD customer. The role offers the opportunity to work at the forefront of cyber investigations, digital forensics, and mission support in a dynamic team.

The candidate will analyze media, conduct forensic analysis, preserve evidence, and prepare reports for potential courtroom use. On-site M-F, with potential to testify as an expert witness as needed.

Qualifications

• Formal education and certifications aligned with digital forensics and investigations.
• Experience with multiple forensic tools and platforms is required.
• Ability to write technical reports detailing analysis results and findings.
• Background in handling digital evidence and maintaining custody procedures.

Responsibilities

• Analyze electronic media in support of federal investigations and operations.
• Perform forensic analysis and gather evidence from hard drives, mobiles, and other devices.
• Preserve data, conduct data recovery, and manage electronic discovery tasks.
• Prepare comprehensive notes and reports for courtroom presentation and possible testimony.
