Job summary

JT4, LLC is seeking a highly experienced Department Manager II to lead a technical department at China Lake, supporting UXO, ground-based mobile targets, and fixed targets. The role requires DoD background, budgeting and forecasting skills, and leadership of electrical systems and field operations.

The ideal candidate will possess an active Secret clearance and extensive experience in managing programs, budgets, and personnel to meet customer requirements and ensure quality and schedule

Qualifications

• Active Secret clearance preferred.
• 12+ years in related field with 4+ years in management.
• Experience with UXO duties or USN UXO policies.
• Budgeting/forecasting for materials and labor.
• Lead development/operations of ground-based targets.
• Experience with electrical systems (PV sites, generators).

Responsibilities

• Establish technical and procedural guidelines meeting requirements.
• Manage technical performance of department.
• Maintain current status on projects, budgets, and plans.
• Adjust procedures or priorities to stay on schedule/budget.
• Oversee QA and process-improvement goals.
• Provide training to personnel for continuous improvement.
• Interview and hire or take actions on candidates.
• Coordinate with customer to meet requirements.
• Evaluate performance of subordinate supervisors.
• Perform other related managerial tasks as requested.
