Job summary

Redhorse Corporation is seeking a proactive Mid-Level Data Engineer to join the DoD Office of the Under Secretary of Defense for Acquisition & Sustainment. You will develop and optimize robust data pipelines and analytics solutions to support critical national security initiatives.

Responsibilities include building ETL/ELT pipelines, ensuring data integrity, and collaborating with cross-functional teams while applying DoD STIGs to maintain security. US citizenship and TS/SCI eligibility required.

Qualifications

• US citizenship with active DoW TS security clearance and SCI eligibility.
• Bachelor’s degree in Computer Science, Data Engineering, Information Systems, or related STEM field with 3+ years of data engineering experience.
• Experience developing ETL/ELT pipelines and processing large-scale data with Apache Spark.
• Practical experience in cloud environments (AWS, Azure, MilCloud 2.0).
• Proficiency in Python, SQL, or Scala for data engineering tasks.
• Familiarity with DoD STIGs and automated configuration management.

Responsibilities

• Ingest, configure, and transform structured, semi-structured, and unstructured datasets to meet mission partner requirements.
• Build, automate, and maintain scalable ETL/ELT pipelines for analytics delivery.
• Maintain data pipeline operations, monitor health, and optimize performance and cost.
• Prototype new data capabilities and evaluate emerging technologies for end-to-end data solutions.
• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to troubleshoot bottlenecks and secure data retrieval.
• Implement and automate STIGs across data systems to ensure system security.
