Job summary

LMI is seeking a Cybersecurity Engineer to support Army program modernization of platform infrastructure with secure, scalable, and cloud-enabled systems. The role advises ISSM and system owners, maintains authorization artifacts, and helps integrate security into cloud operations and Agile delivery.

The ideal candidate has a Secret clearance, a CS/IS/Cybersecurity degree, 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering, and DoD cloud security experience (AWS GovCloud, Azure IL5/IL6).

Qualifications

• Active DoD security clearance (secret) required.
• Bachelor’s degree in CS/IS/Cybersecurity or related field.
• 5+ years in cybersecurity engineering, RMF, or secure operations.
• Active DoDI 8140 qualification.
• Strong DoD cloud security knowledge (AWS GovCloud, Azure IL5/IL6) and Zero Trust.
• Experience maintaining RMF artifacts and POA&Ms in eMASS or similar workflow.
• Experience implementing security in cloud operations and DevSecOps across Agile teams.
• Clear communication with ISSM, System Owners, and engineering teams.

Responsibilities

• Maintain the system security authorization package in eMASS.
• Prepare and maintain RMF artifacts and supporting control evidence.
• Curate evidence for RMF transition to Rev 5 and ongoing controls.
• Create, track, and update POA&Ms in eMASS and internal workflows.
• Define remediation timelines with System Owners and engineers.
• Review noncompliance closures before ISSM/AO approval.
• Assess impact of cybersecurity tasks on cARMY AWS architecture and workloads.
• Apply NIST SP 800-53 controls, DoD STIGs, and security requirements during dev lifecycles.
• Integrate vulnerability analysis and DevSecOps into GitLab CI/CD and Agile workflows.
• Support continuous monitoring and vulnerability scanning (ACAS).
• Maintain cybersecurity dashboards and track POA&M aging and incident responses.
