Job summary

SimVentions, Inc. is seeking a Journeyman Cybersecurity Analyst to join our on-site team at NSWC Dahlgren, VA. You will craft RMF A&A packages, perform continuous monitoring, and conduct system testing to secure advanced systems. An Active Top Secret clearance with SCI eligibility is required.

The role emphasizes DoD policies, STIGs, risk assessments, and collaboration with naval combat systems. Funding anticipated December 2026. Competitive compensation up to 156k USD.

Qualifications

• Two (2) years program specific security engineering experience working with Navy afloat/tactical combat systems or five (5) years general security engineering experience.
• Two (2) of the five (5) years of engineering experience on Combat Weapons Systems experience in Aegis, SSDS, Zumwalt, or other Navy afloat tactical combat systems.
• Certified as IAT Level II or Level III per DoD 8570.01, or successor when performing as an ISSO or ISSE.

Responsibilities

• Author DoD Cybersecurity Assessment and Authorization artifacts.
• Document a system from a Cybersecurity perspective using MS Office tools.
• Derive, document and/or identify system CONOPS for Mission Assurance per DoDI 8500.2.
• Apply DISA STIGs and NSA recommendations.
• Identify disagreements between built specs, security requirements and DoD policies and propose compliant solutions.
• Lead and perform ISSO activities for security matters relating to information systems.
• Plan, execute and document risk assessments against known vulnerabilities.
