Job summary

Temple University is seeking a DoD Director of Contracts to provide strategic leadership for its DoD contract and grant portfolio. The role directs administration across the proposal, award, performance, modification and closeout lifecycle, ensuring FAR/DFARS compliance and university policy adherence.

The position requires at least 6 years’ federal contracts experience, with supervisory duties and strong DoD sponsor engagement.

Qualifications

Bachelor's degree in Business Administration, Public Administration, Finance, accounting, Law or related field.
Six (6) years of progressively responsible experience administering federal contracts, including DoD contracts.
Minimum of three (3) years of supervisory/management experience in research administration or sponsored programs.

Responsibilities

Provide strategic leadership for Temple University's DoD contract and grant portfolio across the lifecycle.
Direct DoD contract administration to ensure FAR/DFARS compliance and university policies.
Advise leadership and investigators on complex contractual and regulatory matters.
Supervise and develop a team of DoD contract management professionals.
Lead negotiations with federal contracting officers on contract terms and conditions.
