Job summary

General Dynamics Information Technology (GDIT) is seeking a Compliance SQL Database Administrator to secure and optimize enterprise SQL Server environments for USCENTCOM in Tampa, FL. The role emphasizes DoD compliance, STIG implementation, and vulnerability remediation.

Responsibilities include managing SQL Server 2019/2022, SSAS/SSIS/SSRS, scripting with PowerShell, and collaborating with cybersecurity and operations teams to meet DoD directives and CORA inspection readiness.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in a related discipline or 3 years of real-world/military experience in database administration or information assurance.
• Applicable DoD 8140/8570 certifications (e.g., Security+ CE) are required or equivalent.
• Experience implementing DoD STIGs, CTOs, and related cyber compliance requirements.

Responsibilities

• Install, configure, administer, maintain, troubleshoot, and secure MS SQL Server 2019/2022 environments.
• Apply relational DBMS design and security principles for enterprise databases.
• Develop, test, and secure SQL objects (DML, stored procedures, triggers, functions).
• Remediate DoD security findings from ACAS/Tenable scans and STIG assessments.
• Maintain DoD compliance with STIGs, CTOs, IAVMs and related directives.
• Perform patching, maintenance, upgrades, hardening, and remediation of vulnerabilities.
• Document test plans, change control, and runbooks for database releases.
