Job summary

The Cayuse Holdings Systems Administrator, Journeyman role supports local and remote Linux and Windows systems, application support, and problem-solving in a collaborative environment.

Candidates should have a Bachelor’s degree and 4+ years of related experience, IAT Level II, and a Top-Secret clearance to ensure DoD 8140 compliance, strong scripting, and clear technical documentation.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology, Computer Science, or related discipline with 4+ years of relevant experience.
• IAT Level II Certification (e.g., COMPTIA Security+).
• Proficiency with Windows Server 2016/2019 and Windows 10/11 installation and configuration.
• 4 years experience with RedHat/Linux/VMware/Windows server operations.
• Top-Secret Clearance and ability to pass background checks.

Responsibilities

• Install and configure enterprise software, hardware, and operating systems (Linux, RedHat, Windows).
• Manage MySQL databases, Windows Servers, and Windows workstations; develop automation scripts.
• Perform routine maintenance, security patches, backups, and diagnostics.
• Ensure security/compliance per DoD 8140; maintain access controls and backups.
• Provide tiered troubleshooting and collaboration with stakeholders.
