Job summary

Solipsys, managed by Collins Aerospace, seeks a Principal Software Engineer to drive design, architecture, and development of critical capabilities in an active Agile environment. You will lead engineers, coordinate cross-functional work, and deliver high-quality software solutions for DoD programs.

This onsite role at the Fulton, MD facility requires strong OO programming skills (Java/C++), CS fundamentals, and experience with modern tools and architectures in Linux environments.

Qualifications

• Proven OO programming experience (Java or C++).
• Full lifecycle software development experience (requirements, design, development, tests).
• Strong CS fundamentals: data structures, algorithms, distributed systems, IR.
• Degree in STEM with extensive experience or an advanced degree with strong experience.
• Ability to obtain and maintain a U.S. government security clearance and U.S. citizenship.

Responsibilities

• Drive design, architecture, and development of critical capabilities in an Agile environment.
• Coordinate activities of multiple engineers to ensure successful technical execution.
• Lead with proactive problem solving to avoid larger issues.
• Communicate clearly with all levels, including delivering presentations and summaries.
