Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a Security Guard in Sterling, VA for unarmed patrols at a DoD secret clearance location. You will provide customer service, monitor access, respond to incidents, and conduct routine patrols to deter security issues. The role requires a DoD Secret Clearance, 6 months of security experience, and strong vigilance.

Qualifications

• Minimum 6 months of security-related experience.
• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• Comfort using a computer or tablet is preferred.
• CPR/First Aid certification is preferred.
• Guard Card/License is preferred.
• Must be 18+ for unarmed roles; 21+ for armed roles.
• Background check in compliance with laws.
• Drug screen as a condition of employment.
• Licensing requirements may apply by state/local law.

Responsibilities

• Provide customer service to employees, visitors, and contractors while following site-specific procedures and access protocols.
• Respond to incidents, alarms, and emergencies calmly and notify appropriate contacts.
• Conduct regular and random unarmed patrols of buildings, parking areas, and perimeter boundaries.
• Monitor access points, verify credentials, and maintain logs and reports.
• Observe hazards and report policy violations while maintaining professional presence.
