Job summary

Allied Universal is hiring a full-time Security Officer to join a technology-focused site in Sterling, VA. You will staff the front desk, greet visitors, verify access, and maintain credentials while enforcing site procedures and safety rules.

You will monitor cameras and alarms, respond to incidents, and coordinate with site contacts and local responders as needed. A DoD Secret Clearance is required and training opportunities are available.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance required.
• High school diploma or equivalent.
• Background investigation will be conducted as a condition of employment.
• Drug screening to the extent permitted by law.

Responsibilities

• Provide exceptional customer service to employees, visitors, contractors, and vendors while carrying out site-specific security procedures at a technology-focused location.
• Staff the front desk, greet and screen visitors, verify authorization, issue visitor credentials, and maintain visitor/access records.
• Monitor access points, alarms, cameras, and communications systems; escalate irregular activity per procedures.
• Respond to incidents, service requests, and critical situations in a calm, professional manner; coordinate with site contacts and responders as needed.
• Maintain a professional lobby presence and deter unauthorized access through visitor-management practices.
