Job summary

RTX in McKinney, TX is seeking a Senior Hardware Electrical Engineer to design, test, and support advanced electrical subsystems for defense applications. You will work on analog electronics, power conversion, and precision servo/motor control, collaborating across disciplines to deliver reliable hardware from design through lab integration.

The role requires a Master’s in EE, experience with PSPICE/LTspice/MATLAB, and the ability to obtain DoD Secret clearance.

Qualifications

Master’s degree in Electrical Engineering or related STEM field by start date.
Experience or coursework in Analog Electronics, Power Electronics, Power Systems, or Control Systems.
Experience developing simulations or models of electrical circuits using PSPICE, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink.
Experience documenting technical concepts via design specifications, technical reports, or schematics.

Responsibilities

Design, analyze, simulate, and document analog circuitry, power conversion modules, and power sub-system architectures.
Develop precision control systems, including servo control loops, motor drives, digital feedback systems, and command generation models.
Architect and design flight termination/telemetry systems, including ADCs, data acquisition modules, encoders, and RF transmitters.
Model power system dynamics, EMI, harmonic controls using PSPICE, LTspice, MATLAB/Simulink.
Support hardware integration, laboratory characterization, troubleshooting, and production test activities.
Collaborate with systems, mechanical, software, and reliability engineers to meet specs and milestones.
Prepare schematics, design review data packages, test procedures, and trade study reports.
