Job summary

MTSI is seeking a motivated journeyman systems administrator to support a large office at Wright-Patterson AFB. The role involves managing classified and unclassified networks, patch management, and COMSEC coordination in a secure environment.

Dayton, OH location with a strong emphasis on independent critical thinking and problem solving. Ideal candidates have 5+ years of Linux/Windows admin experience, DoD cybersecurity frameworks, and proficiency in Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, and VoIP

Qualifications

• Bachelor's degree in an IT-related field or equivalent experience.
• 5 years of progressive systems administration in Linux/Windows environments.
• DoD RMF/STIG and cybersecurity controls knowledge.
• Experience with Active Directory, DNS/DHCP, VLANs, VPNs, and VoIP systems.

Responsibilities

• Administer, configure, operate, and maintain classified and unclassified networked systems.
• Provide VTC support for classified systems and manage system patches/updates.
• Maintain COMSEC inventory and asset tracking; assist with rekeys and destruction.
• Troubleshoot complex IT problems across hardware, software, and network layers.
• Create user accounts, security groups, and manage onboarding/offboarding.
