Job summary

Leidos seeks a Linux and Windows System Administrator to support classified environments in our Beavercreek, OH office. You will administer, secure, troubleshoot, and maintain Windows and Linux systems across physical and virtual infrastructures, ensuring availability and compliance with security controls.

Responsibilities include patching, incident resolution, automation scripting with PowerShell and Bash, and DISA STIG/NIST 800-53 compliance in air-gapped networks.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret clearance required.
• Bachelor's degree in a technical field with 4–8 years of relevant experience.
• Experience administering Windows Server and Linux systems in secure or air‑gapped environments.
• Experience implementing DISA STIGs, SCAP, and NIST 800‑53 controls.
• Experience administering AD, DNS, DHCP, and file servers.
• Experience building, integrating, maintaining, and remediating Windows and Linux systems.
• Experience deploying OS using PXE, Kickstart, ISO/disk imaging, and automated installation.
• Experience configuring Layer 2 switching, VLANs, TCP/IP, and network connectivity.
• Experience managing Windows and Linux updates, patching, vulnerability remediation.
• Ability to develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash.
• Familiarity with Linux software repository management.
• Ability to work independently and collaboratively.

Responsibilities

• Administer Windows and Linux systems across physical, virtual, and air-gapped environments.
• Perform Tier 2 incident resolution and root-cause analysis with cross-functional teams.
• Execute system patching, vulnerability remediation, and configuration management.
• Implement monitoring, logging, backup, and recovery solutions.
• Support account and access administration following least-privilege policies.
• Develop automation scripts using PowerShell and Bash.
• Deploy OS images using PXE, Kickstart, and automated install methods.
• Hardening and compliance using DISA STIGs, SCAP, and NIST 800-53.
