The role involves creating, maintaining, and updating technical drawings, GIS site maps, and engineering records for government operations. The ideal candidate will have CAD drafting experience within a DoD or telecommunications environment, an active DoD Secret Clearance, and proficiency with AutoCAD, Visio, and MicroStation.

Qualifications

• Active DoD Secret Clearance or ability to obtain and maintain one.
• Minimum of four years of experience in CAD drafting or related field.
• Experience with AutoCAD, Visio or MicroStation and related CAD software.
• Ability to create and maintain accurate technical drawings and documentation.
• Strong understanding of engineering principles and drafting standards.

Responsibilities

• Create as-built drawings from existing engineering docs and GIS site maps.
• Develop geo-spatially accurate drawings using GPS data for infrastructure like manholes and pedestals.
• Validate site drawings and submit red-line changes for review.
• Produce detailed technical drawings and plans per project specs.
• Update CAD drawings to reflect design changes and infrastructure updates.
• Collaborate with engineers, project managers, and stakeholders to ensure accuracy.
