Job summary

Scientific Research Corporation seeks a CAD drafter to create, modify, and maintain 2D/3D drawings for electrical/electronic systems in a DoD environment. You will interpret sketches and redlines, convert them into precise drawings, and ensure compliance with MIL‑DTL‑31000 and ASME Y14 standards.

You will update revisions, prepare drawing logs, and collaborate with CM staff to keep data current and traceable while supporting design reviews and technical manuals.

Qualifications

• 2D/3D CAD drafting for electrical/electronics items in DoD context.
• Experience converting sketches/markups into complete, formatted drawings.
• Familiarity with MIL‑DTL‑31000 and ASME Y14 drawing standards.

Responsibilities

• Create, modify, and maintain complex electrical/electronics drawings using AutoCAD and SolidWorks.
• Ensure drawings meet DoD and industry standards with proper layers, tolerances, and title blocks.
• Update drawing revisions and logs; coordinate with CM/data management for traceability.
• Prepare and update graphic presentations and drawing packages for design reviews and manuals.
• Collaborate with engineers and CM staff to resolve discrepancies and ensure accurate representations.
