Job summary

MLT Systems is seeking a Budget Analyst III to support DoD Federal acquisition programs. The role emphasizes GAAP compliance, SPID management in CERBERUS, and coordinating funding documents with DAI and PBIS systems.

Ideal candidates will have a Secret Clearance, strong MS Office skills, and a track record of delivering accurate budget briefs and POM exhibits in a fast-paced environment.

Qualifications

• This position requires an active Secret Security Clearance.
• This position is not eligible for remote work or 100% telework.
• Familiarity with Defense Agencies Initiative (DAI), CERBERUS, DARQ, ADVANA, WAWF, MyInvoice, and MAO systems.
• Knowledge of PPBEA process and OMMC/PMC/RDT&E concepts.
• Proficient in MS Office products (Word, Excel, Project, PowerPoint).
• Excellent communication skills, both written and verbal.
• Bachelor's in business or related field with 8 years of relevant experience; 6 years may substitute for a Master's.

Responsibilities

• Identifies, analyzes, and resolves a wide range of budgetary challenges.
• Develops alternative funding strategies and methods.
• Formulates detailed budget estimates for programs with changing objectives and funding.
• Develops and administers budget execution plans for industrially funded activities.
• Applies GAAP and adheres to DoD, DON, and USMC financial policies.
• Create SPIDs in CERBERUS and maintain them to reflect changes in requirements.
• Link DAI funding documents in CERBERUS for proper funds execution tracking.
• Monitor PoP and delivery dates to initiate de-obligation actions upon contract completion.
• Prepare financial briefs, POM, and Budget Exhibits in support of the Program Office.
