Job summary

KFS, LLC in Huntsville, Alabama seeks an experienced Air Permitting Specialist to lead and grow a nationwide air quality permitting program for military installations. Based in Huntsville with a negotiable hybrid schedule, the role requires DoD permitting expertise and travel across regions to support projects.

The successful candidate will build a nationwide team, manage budgets, mentor staff, and serve as primary client contact while ensuring compliance with air quality regulations and DoD

Qualifications

• 7–10 years of experience managing air quality permitting for DoD installations
• Active Secret clearance or ability to obtain one
• Experience leading a technical program including budgets and scheduling
• PE license preferred, QEP certification a plus

Responsibilities

• Lead the nationwide air permitting program for military installations
• Serve as technical lead from scoping to permit issuance
• Prepare and review Title V and NSR permit applications
• Ensure compliance with the Clean Air Act and NSPS/NESHAP
• Travel nationwide to support projects and build a national team
