Job summary

Dark Wolf Solutions is seeking Security Control Assessors/Representatives (SCA/Rs) to lead security control assessments for DoD AI-enabled systems. The role blends cybersecurity engineering, cloud architecture, and DevSecOps prototyping in a fast-paced environment.

Based in Arlington, VA with hybrid/remote options, you will produce SSPs, SAPs, SARs and POA&Ms, assess RMF artifacts, and deliver risk briefings to AOs. Strong written and verbal communication is essential.

Qualifications

• Active Top Secret clearance
• 3–5+ years of security control assessment experience for DoD or federal information systems
• Strong knowledge of NIST SP 800-53 and RMF processes
• Solid understanding of AWS core services and cloud security controls
• Experience writing and evaluating RMF artifacts (SSPs, SAPs, SARs, POA&Ms)
• Ability to communicate technical risk to executives and engineers

Responsibilities

• Execute formal SCA/R duties across projects.
• Lead assessment efforts and develop reusable playbooks for rapid AI deployment.
• Evaluate security controls in AWS, CI/CD, microservices, and GenAI stacks.
• Collaborate with cybersecurity engineering and DevSecOps teams to integrate security early.
• Review and maintain SSPs, SAPs, SARs, and POA&Ms for rapid prototyping.
• Assess risks for AI/LLM implementations, including API exposure and data protection.
• Coordinate with AOs and program managers to deliver risk briefings and ATO recommendations.
• Provide technical input for testing activities across prototype projects.
