Job summary

ABB seeks a Documentation Specialist to prepare, distribute and store accurate customer and supplier documents for projects. You’ll ensure version control and provide guidance on documentation issues to colleagues globally.

You will create MOPs/FPs for FSTs, support service functions, and manage the document management system with the project team. Electrical background required and strong MS Office skills.

Qualifications

  • Bachelor’s degree in Electrical Engineering or Electrical Engineering Technology with 1+ years’ experience in a service/manufacturing environment or an Associates degree with 3+ years’ experience.
  • Strong written and verbal communication across organizational levels.
  • Proficient in Microsoft Office; basic MS Project or Excel project management skills.
  • Ability to write test plans and report results in detail.

Responsibilities

  • Create technical documentation (MOPs, FPs, etc) for FSTs related to Critical Power Products.
  • Assist with documentation across service functions and harmonize formats globally.
  • Issue communications on product changes affecting install base.
  • Manage ISO folders and document IDs; ensure version control in the DMS.
  • Set up the documentation management system and controls with the project team.
