Job summary

Mapbox is seeking a developer-relations focused doc contributor to keep docs.mapbox.com accurate and current. You will work directly with the Mapbox product teams to document features and changes, while triaging feedback and merging updates through a GitHub workflow. This role emphasizes hands-on coding and clear technical communication.

You will be a developer first, writing clearly and learning the product across web, mobile, and embedded platforms. 2-4 years of experience preferred.

Qualifications

• 2-4 years of professional experience in developer-focused roles.
• Strong ability to explain technical concepts clearly.
• Comfortable with git/GitHub workflows, Markdown/MDX, and React.js.
• Experience contributing to documentation or developer portals is a plus.

Responsibilities

• Make routine updates to docs.mapbox.com: fix errors, clarify language, update code samples.
• Triage user feedback on docs and coordinate with partners to fix issues quickly.
• Manage the git/GitHub workflow for docs contributions and code reviews.
• Work with product teams to document new features and launches.
• Prototype lightweight tooling to speed up small text changes and updates.
• Support other Developer Relations initiatives and docs platform maintenance.
