Job summary

Axos Bank is seeking a Documentation Specialist III to manage the documentation and closing process for commercial equipment lease transactions. You will review credit approvals, legal and financial documents, lien searches, and vendor paperwork to ensure accurate, compliant closings.

Reports to Documentation Team Lead and works with Sales, Credit, customers, and third-party partners to deliver exceptional service while mitigating risk.

Qualifications

• Strong knowledge of documentation, funding, closing, and business processes with attention to detail.
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office Suite (Excel, Word, Outlook, PowerPoint).
• Experience with commercial lease documentation or related field is preferred.

Responsibilities

• Reviews documentation requests against final credit approvals and due diligence requirements.
• Coordinates with 3rd party vendors and customers to determine closing date and insurance readiness.
• Ensures accurate data entry and selects correct documents from prior due diligence for funding.
• Manages post-close items and clears system alerts within 5 business days after final booking.
• Assists in training and onboarding of new hires and provides project support as needed.
• Responds to inquiries and supports specialized programs with documentation.
