Document Management Technician

What You’ll Get to Do:
  • Schedule appointments, meetings, engagements, and conferences.
  • Receive and review incoming correspondence and forward each item to the appropriate AUSA or staff based on knowledge of the office's duties.
  • Screen telephone calls and visitors, handling those that do not require further assistance.
  • Maintain legal and general office files.
  • Review, screen, and control incoming mail.
  • Search files for material used in reports.
  • Assemble file data or secure data from staff into proper formats.
  • Produce documents using office automation software.
  • Retrieve information from files and prepare legal documents with complex formatting.
  • Ensure correct spelling, punctuation, and grammar.
  • Consult with document authors to resolve questionable material.
  • Use applications to search and retrieve information, including case management databases and external court records.
  • Perform physical activities such as standing, bending, crouching, reaching, and lifting up to 50 lbs.
  • Assist in preparing litigation case files and records for shipment to off-site locations.
  • Locate, retrieve, and record shipment data.
  • Assemble physical files for long-term storage.
More About the Role:

Under supervision, perform tasks such as filing, retrieving, copying case files, creating witness binders, entering data, proofreading OCR'd files, and performing quality control. Also, handle document collection activities, including screening and labeling files for scanning, and perform simple database searches.

  • Understanding of task objectives within litigation support.
  • Initiative to ask questions for clarity.
  • Typing, communication skills, and proficiency with government office and network systems.
  • Undergraduate degree preferred; litigation support experience valued.

Pay Range:

This position is covered by the Service Contract Labor Standards (SCA). The pay will meet or exceed the minimum amounts specified by the Department of Labor, as incorporated into our contract.

Minimum Required Hourly Wage:

$18.78
