GEICO's PaaS organization is seeking an experienced Engineer to join the Document Management/Customer Communication Team. You will help drive our insurance business transformation as we transition from a traditional IT model to a tech organization with engineering excellence as its mission, while co-creating the culture of psychological safety and continuous improvement.
The Senior Engineer is a key member of the Document Platform engineering staff working across the organization to provide strategic document solutions for both internal and external customers. You will work with business and product partners to create, maintain, and assign insurance-related documents across all states in which we do business. Our team thrives in delivering high-quality technology products and services in a hyper-growth environment where priorities shift quickly. The ideal candidate is adaptable and has experience with enterprise document management systems.
Use document management tools to create and maintain GEICO’s enterprise document library.
Coordinate and collaborate with product managers, engineering team members, and product teams to solve complex problems.
Monitor data platform performance, analyze metrics, and iterate on features to optimize user experience and business outcomes.
Manage business initiatives across functional teams through the entire product lifecycle.
Always push for engineering excellence; share best practices and improve processes within and across teams.
Provide ‘on-call’ support for production systems, servers, and applications.
Proficient with enterprise document solutions (preferably Smart Communications and OpenText products).
Demonstrated ability to perform high-level content development for CCM tools.
Proficient in one or more programming languages such as Java, .NET, or Python.
Understanding of orchestration services.
Ability to analyze and estimate at a high level.
Ability to excel in a fast-paced, startup-like environment.
Strong oral and written communication skills.
Strong problem-solving skills.
Understanding of document management tools, DevOps, and the product/software development lifecycle.
2+ years of enterprise document development.
2+ years of experience with architecture/design of complex document platforms.
2+ years of experience with AWS, Azure, or another cloud service.
Bachelor’s Degree in Information Technology or related field, or equivalent experience.

$90,000.00 - $185,000.00
The above salary range is a general guideline. Final compensation will consider various factors including experience, education, location, and market conditions.
