Job summary

Austin Commercial, a leading construction firm, seeks a Document Control Manager for a multi-billion dollar project in Plano, TX. This role manages all project documents through pursuit, preconstruction, and construction phases and develops document control procedures.

The team is employee-owned and values safety, service, and integrity. The position involves training staff in document control processes, implementing file systems, and coordinating with owners, designers, and subcontractors.

Qualifications

• A minimum of four (4) years’ progressive document control experience on commercial construction projects.
• Intermediate proficiency in Microsoft Word and Excel.
• Experience with project management software (Newforma, Aconex, etc.).

Responsibilities

• Develops and administers all record keeping, including all written and electronic correspondence, reporting for safety and quality and administering all submittals.
• Responsible for document distribution internally and to owners, designers, material suppliers, subcontractors and sub-consultants.
• Producing training manuals and training staff in the usage of project management software.
• Develops and audits the file system for naming conventions and file locations.
• Assists project team in document search and provides document control training.
• Compiles owner progress reports and pay request documents with content checks and transmittals.
• Assists with project document control startup, implementation, and closeout/archiving.
