Rifenburg Contracting is seeking a Document Control professional to support the CNY C6 project by managing documents, drawings, revisions, submittals, and correspondence. The role collaborates with project leadership, engineering, field staff, subcontractors, design teams, and support departments to keep information current and properly distributed.
You will maintain logs, track RFIs and submittals, and ensure accurate document flow across engineering, procurement, and operations.
The Document Control role supports the CNY C6 project by managing the flow of project documents, drawings, revisions, submittals, correspondence, and record tracking tied to ongoing work activities throughout the Project. The role works directly with Project leadership, engineering teams, field staff, subcontractors, design teams, and support departments to keep project information organized, current, and moving to the right people at the right time.
The role stays involved in drawing distribution, revision tracking, submittal management, RFI logs, document organization, and coordination tied to active work areas across the Project. Document Control is expected to maintain accuracy across project records, identify missing or outdated information, and keep document flow moving between engineering, field operations, procurement, subcontractors, and Project leadership as work progresses.
High school diploma or equivalent required. Associate’s or Bachelor’s degree in Construction Management, Engineering, Business Administration, or a related field preferred. Candidates may have 1–4 years of engineering experience or previous construction experience, preferably in heavy highway construction. Experience working with construction drawings, RFIs, submittals, revisions, and project documentation preferred. Equivalent education and relevant construction experience will be considered.
