Job summary

The University of Miami seeks an Associate Director, Doctoral Career Services to guide doctoral students, postdocs and alumni through diverse career paths beyond academia. You will design programs, curate resources, and deliver coaching across industry, government, nonprofit, and entrepreneurial tracks.

Collaborating with departments, faculty and external partners, you will advance doctoral career readiness and oversee scalable, on-demand content and events within the Career Center.

Qualifications

• Master's degree required with strong communications, analytical and organizational skills.
• Minimum 4 years of relevant experience, preferably in advising.
• Experience with graduate and professional students preferred.

Responsibilities

• Provide 1:1 and group career advising for doctoral students, postdocs, and alumni, in person and virtually.
• Create, edit and disseminate content tailored to doctoral career readiness and develop curated resources.
• Plan and assess doctoral-focused programs and events aligned with milestones (Early-stage, Candidacy, Completion, Post-PhD).
• Deliver workshops and trainings in person, hybrid, and digital formats.
• Foster alumni and employer relations for mentoring and recruiting opportunities.
• Develop assessment strategies to evaluate doctoral programs and learning outcomes.
