Job summary

Sagemcom is seeking a Docsis expert with a strong background in CPE software development and embedded systems for North America, based in Denver, CO. You will lead DOCSIS knowledge transfer to customers, guide product definitions, and influence hardware and firmware decisions while collaborating with engineering and vendor teams.

The role requires deep DOCSIS proficiency (3.x/4.x), provisioning, and packet analysis, plus hands-on experience with CPE/Headend and lab setups.

Qualifications

Deep understanding of DOCSIS standards (3.x, 4.x) including PHY, OSS and SEC areas.
Experience with DOCSIS provisioning (SNMP, DHCP, TFTP, TLVs) and firmware upgrades.
Hands-on experience with CPE/Headend (CMTS, RPD, RMD).
Strong IP networking knowledge and ability to sniff/analyze captures.
Software development for embedded systems; debugging with common tools.

Responsibilities

Present DOCSIS technology and product roadmap to Sagemcom customers
Guide customers during the product definition phase
Participate in hardware design choices (key components, cost driven conception)
Guide engineering software developments during the design phase
Propose investments, setup and maintain the NAM Sagemcom office Docsis lab setup
Work remotely with other Sagemcom Docsis lab equipment
Build test plans to confirm functions and performance of the products
Reproduce, investigate and resolve issues with engineering teams, vendor support and customers
Conduct trainings to Sagemcom engineering groups involved in Docsis projects
Represent Sagemcom in standardization groups and interop events
Follow chip-maker roadmaps
Evaluate new chipsets and solutions
