Job summary

Bentleys documentation platform team is seeking a Software Engineer to own and evolve the platform. You’ll work across frontend to cloud services, automate pipelines, and collaborate with cross‑functional teams to improve how technical content is created, published, and consumed.

The role emphasizes hands‑on development with JavaScript/TypeScript, Python, and DevOps practices, in a hybrid model at Exton, PA or Philadelphia, 3 days in office.

Qualifications

• Bachelor’s degree or equivalent in Computer Science or related field.
• 2+ years of hands-on software development experience.
• Experience with JavaScript/TypeScript, HTML, and CSS in production web apps.
• Experience with backend development or automation using Python.
• Experience with CI/CD pipelines, preferably Azure DevOps.
• Strong scripting and automation skills (PowerShell preferred).
• Ability to troubleshoot across applications, APIs, infrastructure, and deployments.
• Familiarity with cloud-hosted services and APIs; AWS experience is a plus.
• Experience with Git or other distributed version control systems.

Responsibilities

• Help drive the technical roadmap for Bentley's documentation platform.
• Build, maintain, and enhance a production web platform using JS/TS, HTML, CSS, and Python.
• Develop frontend integrations and interactive user experiences.
• Integrate cloud-hosted services and REST APIs for search, discovery, and AI experiences.
• Debug issues spanning frontend, APIs, backend, and infrastructure.
• Own and improve Azure DevOps pipelines for build, test, and publish.
• Create and maintain automation using Python, PowerShell, and related tooling.
• Improve platform performance, reliability, observability, and releases.
• Collaborate with product/platform teams to integrate docs into workflows.
• Provide tooling and guidance to publish documentation consistently.
