Job summary

Bentley Systems is building a specialized AI Code Modernization team in the Exton/Philadelphia area to transform large-scale engineering software systems into modern cloud-native architectures. You will design AI-driven pipelines, develop agentic workflows, and modernize engineering applications while collaborating across product and engineering teams.

This hybrid role emphasizes production impact, scalability, reliability, and practical AI adoption within Bentley's portfolio of software

Qualifications

Strong software development background with ownership of production systems.
Experience building, maintaining, or modernizing complex software applications.
Understanding of software performance, reliability, and scalability.
Practical AI, ML, or automation experience applied to real-world problems.
Ability to design pipelines and large-scale developer tooling.

Responsibilities

Design and build AI-driven transformation pipelines for large-scale legacy codebases.
Develop agentic AI workflows for code understanding, refactoring, validation, and modernization.
Modernize desktops, simulation, and engineering apps into cloud-native services.
Create automated tooling, validation frameworks, and testing strategies.
Collaborate with architects, product leaders, and engineering teams to identify opportunities.
