Responsibilities

• Load and unload freight on trailers using forklift or electric pallet jack.
• Pick, stage, and secure freight inside trailers to ensure safe transport.
• Use document management systems to track freight locations across the terminal.
• Communicate with terminal personnel and drivers to coordinate operations.
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including day and night shifts, weekends, and holidays.
• Operate with a customer-service mindset and professionalism.

Job description

A. Duie Pyle is seeking a full-time Inbound Dockworker to join our team in Columbus, OH. This role is responsible for safely transporting freight on and off trailers, and verifying related documentation via the electronic and manual systems. Prior forklift experience is preferred.

• Earn $24.25 hourly rate with shift differential included. Rate will increase to $28.35 hourly rate after 12 months of employment
• 12:00 AM; Tuesday through Saturday
• Weekly pay every Friday via direct deposit – overtime after 40 hours

Dockworker responsibilities include but are not limited to:

• Loading and unloading freight on trailers using appropriate equipment – forklift or electric pallet jack
• Picking, staging, and securing freight inside trailers to insure safe transport
• Utilizing document management system to track and monitor freight shipment locations throughout the terminal
• Communicating with terminal personnel and drivers
• Maintain a flexible schedule, including but not limited to day and night shifts, weekends and or holiday work
• Operating with a customer service first mentality
