Job summary

XPO Logistics Freight Inc. is seeking a Dockworker (Hostler) to move trailers, operate forklifts and pallet jacks, and ensure safe, efficient loading on a variety of shifts.

Qualifications

• Must be at least 18 years old.
• Valid driver’s license.
• Able to perform basic math calculations, with or without a calculator.
• Pass a company-paid, pre-hire test.
• Available to work a variety of shifts including days, evenings, nights and weekends.

Responsibilities

• Move trailers throughout the property.
• Use appropriate motorized and manual equipment, including pallet jack and forklift.
• Load freight a minimum of 1 day per week.
• Operate a hostler in all types of weather; walk and stand for extended periods.
• Safely operate heavy equipment, including a converter dolly, with a weight/pull force of ~128 lbs.
• Work safely and follow company safety policies.
• Use mobile handheld devices to scan and track shipments.
