Overview

XGS warehouse dockworkers are responsible for loading and unloading freight by hand or using equipment such as a pallet jack or forklift, sorting products, and ensuring trailers are properly loaded. This role includes using barcode scanners and maintaining a neat and orderly service center dock.

Responsibilities

• Monday-Friday, starting at 12 PM
• Pay: $19.59 per hour
• Unload delivery trucks into the warehouse
• Load or unload by hand or with freight handling tools like a lift truck or pallet jack
• Use scanners to read barcodes on products
• Scan freight barcodes and ensure correct routing
• Follow prompts on screens for tasks
• Verify shipping info and label freight accordingly
• Receive and store inventory
• Match merchandise info with work orders
• Attach barcodes for tracking and routing
• Finalize work orders and update databases
• Inspect merchandise for damage or irregularities
• Ensure product quality
• Report overages, shortages, damages
• Sort freight by destination
• Verify freight counts
• Clean the dock as needed
• Perform other duties as assigned by management

Qualifications

• At least 6 months of experience
• Previous fulfillment experience preferred
• Knowledge of warehousing procedures is a plus
• Ability to read and interpret work orders
• Strong attention to detail
• Must be at least 18 years old
• Meet minimum hiring criteria

Physical and Mental Requirements

• Verbal and written communication skills
• Experience operating lift trucks or pallet jacks preferred
• Frequently lift up to 50 pounds; occasionally up to 70 pounds; pull up to 100 pounds; push up to 50 pounds
• Occasionally climb stairs
• Frequently stoop, kneel, or crouch

Environment

Most work is in a comfortable office setting, but exposure to site conditions may occur. Personal protective equipment is required in all areas. While generally safe, caution is necessary during onsite activities.
