Job summary

Estes Forwarding Worldwide, LLC in Joliet, IL is seeking a Dockworker, Warehousing to unload, sort, and load freight in a fast-paced warehouse environment. You will follow verbal and written instructions, operate forklifts when authorized, and maintain accurate shipment records.

The role requires basic reading/writing, teamwork, and attention to detail. A high school diploma is required; forklift certification is preferred.

Qualifications

• Ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks when authorized.
• Attention to detail and accurate reporting.
• Read and interpret general business documents.
• Write routine reports and business correspondence.
• Work with peers and communicate clearly.
• Follow procedures to solve routine problems.
• Plan, organize, and manage multiple tasks.
• Proficiency with Word, Excel, and related software.

Responsibilities

• Unload, sort, handle, and load freight safely according to instructions and regs.
• Move freight using handling equipment as needed.
• Read work orders to determine assignments and material needs.
• Maintain records for on-time shipments and reporting.
• Collaborate with team to complete tasks efficiently.
• Utilize computer, email, scanners, and WMS to track inventory.
• Support company core values and maintain regular attendance.
• Comply with security procedures and perform other duties as assigned.
