Job summary

Estes Forwarding Worldwide (EFW) is seeking a Dockworker, Warehousing in Joliet, IL to unload, sort, and load freight safely according to verbal and written instructions and regulatory requirements. The role requires attention to detail, the ability to operate forklifts or pallet jacks when authorized, and teamwork in a fast-paced warehouse environment.

Qualifications

• Operate forklifts or pallet jacks when authorized.
• Attention to detail and good follow-up skills.
• Ability to read and interpret general business documents.
• Ability to write routine reports and general business correspondence.
• Proven ability to communicate clearly with all levels of an organization.

Responsibilities

• Unload, sort, and load freight safely per instructions and regulations.
• Move freight to/from storage, docks, or vehicles using hand tools or equipment.
• Read work orders or receive instructions to determine assignments.
• Maintain records for on-time shipment completion.
• Work in a team to accomplish tasks and use WMS for inventory tracking.
