Job summary

BSP Trans, Inc. in Maine is hiring for a Full-Time Dock Worker / Forklift Operator on the 3rd shift starting at 2:00 AM. The role offers $23.00 per hour with a $1,000 sign-on bonus and seeks reliable teammates to sort, load, unload, and secure freight on dock operations.

Responsibilities include operating forklifts and pallet jacks, loading trailers, performing basic freight calculations, and maintaining safety standards in a fast-paced environment. Prior warehouse/freight experience is a plus.

Qualifications

3rd Shift – 2:00 AM Start

$23.00 Per Hour + $1,000 Sign-On Bonus

BSP Trans, Inc. has been providing the Maine, New Hampshire, and Vermont areas with outstanding LTL transportation services since 1970. At BSP, our team consists of a six-terminal network across our coverage area to ensure swift deliveries for customers. We are hiring immediately for a Full-Time Dock Worker / Forklift Operator – 3rd Shift position. This is a great opportunity for an experienced warehouse worker, freight handler, dock worker or forklift operator looking to join an established transportation company.

What you will do on a typical shift:

• Sort, handle, load and unload palletized and non-palletized freight
• Operate forklifts, pallet jacks and other motorized or manual material-handling equipment
• Load and unload trailers while ensuring freight is properly positioned and secured
• Secure freight inside trailers using appropriate tools and equipment
• Perform warehouse and dock operations while following company safety policies and procedures
• Work on a non-climate-controlled freight dock for extended periods of time, including conditions where surfaces may become slippery
• Safely lift, move and handle freight and other materials of various shapes, sizes and weights, including up to 50 lbs. frequently and over 70 lbs. occasionally
• Perform basic math and freight calculations with and without a calculator

What you need at a minimum to succeed at BSP:

• Strong work ethic and the ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, team-oriented warehouse environment
• Strong communication skills and attention to safety and accuracy
• Must be at least 18 years of age
• Must successfully complete a county-level background check during the onboarding process

It would be great if you also have:

• Previous warehouse, dock worker or freight-handling experience
• Forklift experience, preferably in a transportation, freight or LTL (less-than-truckload) environment
• Experience loading and unloading trailers
• Experience operating pallet jacks or other material-handling equipment
• Strong attention to detail and a desire to succeed in a warehouse and transportation environment
