Safe Harbor Marinas, LLC is seeking a Dockhand to assist a busy marina team and serve boaters and members on the docks in Flowery Branch, GA. The role emphasizes customer service, safety, and maintaining a clean, safe environment across the harbor facilities.

As a part-time position, you will greet guests, help with general boating needs, and ensure docks and equipment are ready for use. Overtime, weekend, and holiday availability are required as needed.

Qualifications

• Previous customer service experience preferred.
• Must be able to swim.
• Ability to lift up to 30 pounds.
• Dockhand skills and safety awareness expected.

Responsibilities

• Provide SHM members with the best experience possible.
• Greet customers in a kind, courteous and professional manner.
• Orient members and guests to the marina and facilities.
• Assist customers with general boating needs.
• Maintain and clean restrooms, docks, walkways, grounds and other areas designated by management.
• Ensure docks and equipment are operational at all times.
• Comply with OSHA regulations, environmental regulations, and site rules.
• Availability to work overtime when required.
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays.
• Other duties as assigned by Manager.

The Dockhand is responsible for assisting the marina team in order to serve marina customers and guests by performing a variety of tasks including but not limited to general operation of the docks and assisting boaters. The Dockhand must work to maintain a safe and clean environment throughout the harbor and marina facilities.

Essential Duties and Responsibilities

• Provide SHM members with the best experience possible
• Greet all customers in a manner that expresses a kind, courteous and professional character
• Help orient members and guests to the marina, facilities, and answer other commonly asked questions
• Assist customers with general boating needs
• Maintain and clean restrooms, docks, walkways, grounds and other areas designated by management
• Ensure docks and equipment are operational at all times
• Comply with OSHA regulations, environmental regulations, and adhere to all site rules and expectations
• Availability to work overtime when required
• Ability to work weekdays, weekends and holidays
• Other duties as assigned by Manager

Safety and Environmental Responsibilities

• Follow SHM Safety and Environmental rules and complete required related training
• Wear proper personal protective equipment (may include safety glasses, gloves, life jackets and/or hard hats) as required for the task or work area
• Report all accidents, injuries, spills and near misses immediately

Technical and Physical Requirements

• Ability to work safely around the water
• Must be able to swim
• Ability to lift 30 pounds
• Previous customer service experience preferred
• Any skills considered standard that a Dockhand should possess
