Jonathan Dickinson Hospitality LLC is seeking dependable, safety-focused Dockhands to join our team at Jonathan Dickinson State Park. Help launch improved park operations by providing friendly customer service, maintaining docks and moored watercraft, and sharing the beauty of the Loxahatchee River with visitors.

The ideal candidate enjoys water environments, has boating or marine experience, and can work weekends and holidays.

Qualifications

• Previous boating or marine experience is required.
• Strong customer service and safety mindset.
• Willingness to work weekends and holidays.
• Ability to work in an aquatic environment and physically handle duties.

Responsibilities

• Greets customers in a friendly, courteous manner and sets a good example for visitors and fellow employees.
• Operates a concession outlet, greets visitors, and is knowledgeable and able to answer visitor questions.
• Provide basic safety instructions and monitor passengers during tours.
• Assist the Captain with docking, departure, arrival, lines, and fenders.
• Keep the boat, passenger areas, and decks clean and organized.
• Assist with routine vessel inspections and report maintenance or safety concerns.
• Help with emergency procedures as directed by the Captain.
• Clean public common areas, restrooms, and other guest use areas
• Provide friendly, professional customer service.
• Follow all company, safety, and boating regulations.

We're looking for dependable, safety-focused Dockhands to join our team and help us launch this exciting improved operation. The ideal candidate will enjoy being around the water, working with people, and helping maintain safe, clean, and welcoming docks and moored watercraft while supporting our guests and showcasing the natural beauty of the Loxahatchee River.

Position Responsibilities:

• Greets customers in a friendly, courteous manner and sets a good example for visitors and fellow employees.
• Operates a concession outlet, greets visitors, and is knowledgeable and able to answer visitor questions.

Required Qualifications

• Previous boating or marine experience is required
• Available for duty during weekends, holidays, and peak visitation periods. Weekly work schedules will be developed and posted by local management
• Strong customer service skills; enjoys working in an environment of extensive public contact.
• Must be able to perform duties in an aquatic environment and possess the physical skills to enter and exit moored watercraft, which may be somewhat unstable.
• Possess good communications skills, a courteous demeanor, and a helpful attitude.
• May be subject to excessive heat conditions.
